The Prudential Insurance Company of America has unveiled Strategist, an asset management product designed to attract the "mass affluent" in Europe.
The "mass affluent" refers to individuals prepared to invest at least $50,000 and, on average, $500,000. Prudential Insurance, which is popularly referred to as "the Rock" on account of its cliff-face logo, has identified asset allocation as an area of the investment process where these individuals need help. It believes its solution to this need is unique.
