Public pensions group LPP confirms Rule as CEO

Former chief investment officer’s ascent to the top job is confirmed after nine months

The Local Pensions Partnership, a joint venture between several UK public pension funds that manages £18.8bn, has confirmed former chief investment officer Chris Rule as its new chief executive, nine months since he assumed the role on an interim basis.

Rule, who has overseen the group’s investment policy since its establishment in 2016, will be succeeded in turn as chief investment officer by his current deputy, Richard Tomlinson.
