Punch relaunches cut-price IPO

Punch Taverns, the UK pub owner which pulled its initial public offering last week, is reviving its flotation after being forced to cut its price and size.

The offer was one of a string of private equity-backed flotations due in Europe this summer and its postponement highlighted the difficult market conditions for the upcoming deals in the pipeline. Texas Pacific, the US private equity house, is an investor in Punch.
