Punter Southall, the investment and actuarial consultant, has hired Alison Hamilton from Hymans Robertson in an attempt to bolster its presence in the UK local authority market.

Hamilton headed one of two specialist actuarial teams at Hymans and was the contact point for about half of the local authorities in the UK. She joined Punter last week after spending three months on gardening leave.
