PwC has cut hundreds of jobs from its Middle East business, after a ban by Saudi Arabia’s sovereign wealth fund slowed its growth in the region.

The Big Four accountancy firm has axed about 1,500 staff in the Middle East, including 60 partners. It began to cut jobs in February when Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund banned PwC from consulting and advisory contracts, the Financial Times reported.
