PwC will reduce the amount of consulting work it does for audit clients in the US, according to reports, as Big Four firms continue to battle with how to manage potential conflicts of interest.

According to the Financial Times, the move could cost the firm millions in fees, and also lead to executive pay being clawed back if there are failures and further conflict disclosures as part of a wider audit work overhaul.
