PwC UK partners will only be allowed to travel business class if they are flying long-haul overnight or have a "business-critical" reason, as the Big Four consultancy tries to bolster its bottom line and green credentials.

The edict was given to top staff two months ago, the Financial Times first reported, rolling back on the previous policy of allowing business class for flights of five hours or more.
