Negotiators in the UK and European Union agreed the terms of their divorce and a rough outline for their future relationship in November, almost two and a half years after the British public voted to leave.

But an overwhelming majority of British politicians voted to reject it last week, securing Prime Minister Theresa May’s place in the history books as presiding over the worst-ever defeat of a UK government. With only 67 days until the UK’s two-year notification period to leave the EU expires on March 29, time is running out for her to break the Brexit deadlock.
