Quarantine rulebreakers face fraud charges, PM’s office says

Charges could be brought under the UK's Forgery and Counterfeiting Act 1981

Rulebreakers seeking to flout the UK's new hotel quarantine requirements for travellers coming into the country will be "charged with fraud", according to a spokesperson for Prime Minister Boris Johnson.

"If people failed to abide by the rules or inaccurately or purposefully didn't fill out the documents correctly they would be charged with fraud under the Forgery and Counterfeiting Act 1981," the spokesperson said.
