Quattrone charged with obstruction of justice

Frank Quattrone, the high-profile former head of technology banking at Credit Suisse First Boston, has become the first Wall Street figure to face criminal charges related to investigations into conflicts of interest.

The US government has formally charged Quattrone on three counts of criminally obstructing justice. A complaint filed in New York on Tuesday accused Quattrone of obstructing investigations by the Federal Grand Jury and the US Securities and Exchange Commission.
