Premiere, the German pay-television company that was floated just two years after it was bought, has focused attention on the "quick flip" – the name given to the flotation of a company soon after its purchase.

Premiere's flip was one of the quickest in Europe since 2001, but Europe has some way to go to catch up with the fastest turnrounds in the US.
