Quilter says Covid-19 has increased tech overhaul cost to £200m

The firm says it now hopes to complete the shift of all client assets onto its new technology system by early 2021

UK wealth management firm Quilter said Covid-19 disruption has added months to its plan to upgrade the IT systems it uses to manage client assets, and increased the cost of the programme to £200m.

In the firm’s half year results, published on 11 August, it explained that its “UK Platform Transformation Programme” had initially been planned to complete by late summer 2020.
