Rabobank accuses RBC bankers of colluding with Enron

Rabobank has filed a lawsuit claiming that three UK bankers colluded with former Enron executives in setting up off-balance sheet deals that contributed to the US energy group's demise.

Rabobank has named Gary Mulgrew, David Bermingham and Giles Darby, three former employees of the Royal Bank of Canada (RBC), in the lawsuit. Rabobank is suing RBC over a derivative contract that has left the Dutch bank facing a $517m (€532m) loss from exposure to Enron.
