Randstad profits impaired, books lower revenue

Quarterly revenue fell to €5.41bn from €5.72bn and consensus forecasts of €5.08bn

Randstad N.V. Wednesday reported a 64% fall in net profit for the first quarter of the year after booking an impairment charge against the acquisition of Monster, and on lower revenue.

The Dutch recruitment company made a net profit for the quarter ended March 31 of 47 million euros ($51.0m), compared with €130m a year earlier.
