Raymond James plots further investment bank hires in Europe

Florida-based firm arrived in London in 2017 and has not been put off by Brexit

Raymond James, an independent US investment bank, has quadrupled its headcount in Europe since it entered the market in 2016, and managing director Steve Hufford is on the hunt to hire more.

Raymond James came to Europe with the acquisition of Munich-based M&A advisory boutique Mummert & Co, which had a 15-strong team, in 2016. The firm opened an office in Frankfurt in the spring of 2017 and then set up in London in November 2017. It now employs more than 60 bankers in Europe, with 21 based in London.
