A seasoned banker, who has spent the past five years of a more than two-decade career at Credit Suisse advising the Swiss bank's hedge fund clients on issues such as acquisitions and capital raisings, has joined RBC Capital Markets to run its alternative investors group.

Erwin Van Der Voort joined RBC Capital Markets in September as its New York-based head of the alternative investors group, a spokesman for the bank confirmed.
