RBC Capital Markets poached a senior dealmaker from BNP Paribas to cover private equity companies in Germany.

The bank named Thomas Hofmeister as head of sponsor coverage for Germany, according to a memo seen by Financial News. It is a new role, with Hofmeister reporting into RBC’s head of leveraged finance Ed Dickinson and Germany head Christian Karcher.
