RBC Capital Markets has lost two managing directors from its European leveraged finance division – including the head of the business – just three years after bullishly moving into the sector.

Nick Atkinson, head of leveraged finance in Europe, has left the Canadian bank's investment bank having joined in 2008 from Canadian rival CIBC World Markets.
