RBC goes electronic with ADP

RBC Global Services, the custodian arm of the Royal Bank of Canada, has licensed an electronic proxy voting system for the UK market, as custodians fear being named and shamed for failing to move with the times.

RBC, which has C$1.6 trillion (€977bn) in client assets under administration, has awarded the electronic voting mandate to ADP Investor Communications Services, a division of technology group Automatic Data Processing.
