RBC hires BNY Mellon markets chief to lead fixed income

Neal will be tasked with expanding US bond trading at the Canadian bank

RBC Capital Markets has hired the former chief executive of BNY Mellon’s sales and trading business to lead its fixed income division in the US.

Michelle Neal, who has worked at the US custody bank for the past three years and led its sales and trading business since 2017 in New York, has joined RBC Capital Markets as head of fixed income currencies and commodities, according to an internal memo seen by Financial News.
