Royal Bank of Scotland has upgraded its foreign exchange operations with online pricing technology developed by Caplin, the financial IT firm.

Foreign exchange has made a smooth transition from phone-based to electronic trading with almost a quarter of the world's corporate and financial institutions now trade foreign exchange products online according to Greenwich Associates, the US research company.
