RBS names new head of spot FX trading

UK bank appoints former top Nomura trader as it continues hiring push at its FX franchise

The Royal Bank of Scotland has named its new head of spot foreign exchange trading, as the UK bank’s FX franchise continues its recent hiring push.

James Pearson, formerly global head of spot and emerging markets FX trading for Europe, the Middle East and Africa at Japanese bank Nomura, has joined RBS as head of spot foreign exchange trading, based in London. He will report to Tim Carrington, RBS' global head of FX.
