Royal Bank of Scotland has promoted Euan Hamilton to managing director in its leveraged finance group, as part of plans to strengthen its buy-out team.

Hamilton will manage a team focused on winning financing business from UK-based private equity houses. Since acquiring UK clearing bank NatWest earlier this year, RBS has decided to raise its profile in leveraged finance.
