Royal Bank of Scotland has promoted Eric Mallaroni to head leveraged finance in the UK, continental Europe and the US from his base in Paris.

Mallaroni, who has been charged with the task of building up RBS's leveraged finance business and reputation away from its core UK market, will be working alongside Euan Hamilton, who has been in charge of UK leveraged finance based in London.
