Royal Bank of Scotland has become the third bank in a week to eye growth in India, after hiring a former chief executive of Barclays' investment banking business in the country.

RBS has hired Madan Menon as head of India within its global banking and markets division, with a brief to spearhead the bank's expansion in the country, particularly in fixed income, syndicated loans, debt capital markets, risk management, and acquisition and project finance.
