Royal Bank of Scotland has hired Irenee May, a JP Morgan banker, as global head of hedge funds within its financial institutions relationship group.

May, who will be based in London, previously held several sales and trading roles at JP Morgan in the US and Hong Kong, and was most recently a senior hedge fund relationship manager in the US bank's New York team.
