RCM hires senior manager from Isis

RCM, the fund management firm owned by Allianz Dresdner Asset Management, has hired senior UK equity manager Jeremy Thomas from Isis Asset Management in the wake of Isis' decision to buy rival fund management company F&C Asset Management.

It is understood that Thomas was not entirely happy with the ramifications of the merger, which is likely to lead to manager redundancies in due course. Prior to Thomas, the only manager who had left Isis following the merger was head of fixed income Andrew Tunks, who made way for his opposite number at F&C, Helene Williamson.
