Real estate trust advised by Terra Firma exec doubles equity raising

Supermarket Income Reit almost doubled the amount of money it set out to secure

A property investment firm focused on UK supermarkets has raised £45m in new equity, close to double the amount it set out to secure.

London-listed Supermarket Income real estate investment trust said on March 22 it had issued about 44.5m new shares. Just two days earlier the firm said it was increasing the amount it planned to raise from £25m to “an amount in excess of £40m”.
