The Solicitors Regulation Authority has closed its investigation into Magic Circle law firm Freshfields, taking no further action over claims it misled a former UBS banker involved in rape allegations.

In 2018, the legal powerhouse was drafted in by UBS after claims surfaced implying the Swiss bank had mishandled a former female trader’s allegations that she was drugged and raped by a director the previous year.
