Investment bank Renaissance Capital has hired two senior bankers for its operations in the CIS and Eastern Europe. Anton Cherny, who joins as head of business development, will be based in London. Cherny worked with Renaissance Capital until 2008, but most recently was chief investment officer for the Interros Group. Cherny has served on the boards of Norilsk Nickel, OGK-3 and Open Investments. Dimitri Barinstein will be based in Russia and focus on senior client coverage across a number of sectors in Russia, Kazakhstan and Ukraine. Barinstein was formerly an executive director at Goldman Sachs and a banker for Deutsche.
