Desmond Quilty, former global head of production and supervision (equity research) at Salomon Smith Barney has joined researchsummary.com, the UK-based consultancy and software services company.

Quilty takes on the role of business development director and will report directly to John Thorne, chief executive of researchsummary.com. His appointment was made to meet the demand for outsourced investment research solutions, said the company.
