We now know who will be the Chancellor of the Exchequer at the Mansion House dinner on June 10. And we can be pretty confident what one of the main subjects of the speech will be. It would be odd if the Chancellor did not use the occasion to announce the conclusions of the Fair and Effective Markets Review.
Launched by George Osborne in the wake of the Libor and foreign exchange manipulation scandals, the review has looked at reforms of the broader fixed income, currency and commodities markets.
