Reuters, the news and information provider, has stepped up its efforts to overhaul 3000 Xtra, its flagship trading product, with the launch of remote access to the system.

The new access product, which is called 3000 Xtra Companion, provides mobile and remote access to news, prices and charts usually available only on Reuters terminals based in offices. It will be available exclusively to 3000 Xtra subscribers at no additional cost. It was developed in response to the needs of financial market professions who want access to information when away from their desktop or office.
