Three top managers, including the head of operations in the Americas, have left Reuters, the UK news and information group, following a restructuring.
Michael Steinharter, Sebastien Roussotte and Adam Freeman have departed in the past five months, it has emerged. Steinharter, head of Reuters America, went in June after six months in the job. It is understood his departure resulted from the management restructuring. He joined Reuters from IBM in 2003, when he was appointed vice-president of sales and account management. Jon Robson, former global head of fixed income at Reuters and founder of Moneyline Telerate, a bond trading network, has replaced Steinharter. Sebastien Roussotte was appointed head of operations to focus on development in Paris in November after he was replaced as global head of risk by Andrew White, who came from financial technology group Misys. Roussotte left Reuters in April to join a French company. Adam Freeman held the position of chief architecture officer in Reuters' technology operations. He reported to Roy Lowrance, group chief technology officer, and left in July to pursue other interests. Reuters' management changes in June included the promotion of Devin Wenig to chief operating officer. He is regarded as the natural successor to group chief executive Tom Glocer.
