Revolut, the $5.5bn digital bank, is tapping City investment bankers as it builds an internal M&A team after raising hundreds of millions of dollars that could be used for potential acquisitions.

The firm is looking to hire up to four people for an in-house M&A team, according to two bankers who were involved in the recruitment process, and it is currently advertising for a head of corporate development to lead potential M&A transactions from London.
