The revolving door between the regulatory and private sectors is continuing to turn, with senior regulatory figures being snapped up by a consultancy, law firm and international bank.

Paul Sharma, the deputy head of the Prudential Regulation Authority and executive director for policy at the Bank of England, will join consulting firm Alvarez & Marsal in its latest hire of a senior regulatory figure. The Bank said in a statement that they will shortly begin a process to find his successor.
