Rhodia adds more banks and sells additives to Danisco

Rhodia, the French speciality chemicals group, is poised to sell its foods additives activities to Danisco of Denmark as part of its planned €700m disposal plan.

It has also appointed HSBC and Bear Stearns to sell its phosphates business. A source close to Rhodia said: "The two banks have just been appointed and will start work on identifying potential bidders this month."
