The Japanese financial conglomerate parent of Robeco Groep is ready to bankroll up to $1 billion of acquisitions by the Dutch asset manager after securing a revamp of the way it is organised.
Acquisition targets have not been finalised, according to people with knowledge of the firm. But Orix Corporation is said to be keen to use takeovers to double Robeco's assets under management, which stood at €262 billion at the end of March.
