M&A bankers have never been busier, but in 2015 City dealmaking duo Simon Robey and Simon Warshaw have shown that you don't need to work on dozens of bumper mandates to break into the top echelons of advisers.

Advisory bankers have been filling their boots in a year that has seen global M&A reach a record and could yet see activity top the $5 trillion mark for the first year ever. In Europe, too, the pace has been hot, with Europe-targeted activity and European outbound M&A both hitting post-2008 highs.
