Robinhood boss rejects hedge fund ‘conspiracy theories’ in GameStop saga

The boss of trading app Robinhood has dismissed “conspiracy theories” being spread on social media platform Reddit about hedge funds and regulators collaborating to end frenzied trading of GameStop shares.

Speaking to Tesla chief Elon Musk on livestream platform Clubhouse on 1 February, Vlad Tenev said the billionaire was “getting into conspiracy theories a little bit” after Musk floated Redditors’ concerns about hedge funds holding influence over US regulators.
