Ropes & Gray has increased salaries for its newly qualified lawyers in the UK in the latest example of US  law firms boosting pay for juniors.

The firm has boosted its pay for newly qualified solicitors from £147,000 to £165,000 — a 12% rise — Ropes & Gray said in a statement.
