Private equity firm Rosemont Investment Partners has agreed to supply equity funding to Silk Invest, an asset boutique which specialises in frontier markets, in a rare foray out of its US stomping ground.
Silk manages a total of $200m in four equity strategies, a bond fund and an African food and beverages private equity vehicle. It was founded in London by Zin Bakkali, who was previously head of business development at Fortis. Prior to Fortis he was a consultant with Bain & Co.
