Rothschild is advising private German heating company Vaillant on its offer for UK rival Hepworth, making it the first public deal the bank has done on for Vaillant.

Sandra Lowe, assistant director at Rothschild, said that although the UK investment bank has worked with Vaillant for a couple of years, this latest deal is the first public one, as Hepworth is quoted in the UK.
