Rothschild is working alongside Goldman Sachs on advising E.ON, the German utility company, on its long-awaited offer for UK rival PowerGen.

Goldman Sachs was known to be advising E.ON, with Richard Campbell-Breedon acting as the main banker on the deal, along with Steven Wallace and Marcus Schenck. The firm is a long-time adviser to E.ON.
