Rothschild has hired a former co-head of European mergers and acquisitions at Bank of America as it looks to strengthen its business in central and eastern Europe, which fell 10 places in a league table for the region this year.

William Wells becomes co-head of M&A for central and eastern Europe alongside Giovanni Salvetti, who has been promoted internally.
