Rothschild continues US advisory push

Independent investment bank takes equity capital markets banker from rival to replicate European equity advisory model in North America

Rothschild, the independent investment bank, has appointed its first regional head of equity advisory for North America, a month after outlining plans for a US advisory board to mirror the one it has had in place in Europe for years.

Matthew Sperling has joined Rothschild as head of equity advisory for North America, the firm announced yesterday, a month after it appointed Steve Patrick, former vice-chairman of Colgate-Palmolive Company, as a senior adviser in the region.
