Royal & Sun Alliance has scooped Standard & Poor's award as best UK investment management group of the year - for the third consecutive year.

The S&P awards are calculated using the Relative Risk Adjustment Ratio, a method used since 1992 to measure fund performance. The ratio takes into account both superior returns and the consistency of that out-performance relative to the benchmark.
