Royal Bank faces anger over staff equity promise

Royal Bank Private Equity, the private equity arm of Royal Bank of Scotland, is facing growing internal discontent over its failure to give senior dealmakers a share of the equity, which sources close to the firm said was promised to them three years ago.

The discontent is understood to have been one factor in the departure last week of Tim Farazmand, a senior director. Insiders have warned of more departures.
