Royal London’s Loney to step down as CEO

Mutual insurer’s boss to retire and focus on charitable work after seven years in top seat

Phil Loney will step down as group chief executive of Royal London before the end of 2019, ending more than seven years leading the mutual insurer.

Loney joined Royal London in 2011 and has overseen growth in assets under management from £46bn to £117bn, the company said.
