Royal Mail bankers 'could wait years' to be paid

Vince Cable says Royal Mail's bankers could wait 'months or possibly years' to be paid a discretionary bonus, if at all

Goldman Sachs and UBS could wait "months or possibly years" to be paid a £4 million discretionary bonus for their work on the Royal Mail initial public offering.

Vince Cable, the business secretary, told a Business Select Committee hearing this morning that "no decision" had been taken over the payment of the bonus for the £3.3 billion flotation completed on October 10.
